In 1990, owners R. D. Hubbard and Ed Allred of All-Hub Investments undertook the task of converting the old Sierra Blanca Regional Airport (pictured below) into The Links at Sierra Blanca. With Senior PGA Tour Player Jim Colbert and architect Jeff Bauer at his side they tore up the tarmac and removed the old hangars and buildings. Using great land management as they built the signature high rolling mounds throughout the golf course there was not any dirt brought onto or off of the property.
